Cailian Press reported on January 30 that ICBC and CCB issued announcements today to adjust the relevant rules of their personal gold accumulation businesses.
ICBC announced revisions to the handling rules for its Ruyi Gold Accumulation business and certain branded physical gold product sales operations, as well as updates to the Ruyi Gold Accumulation business agreement. Starting from February 7, 2026, during weekends and public holidays, which are non-Shanghai Gold Exchange trading days, ICBC will impose quota management on the Ruyi Gold Accumulation business. The types of quotas include daily accumulation/redemption caps for all or individual clients, caps on single transaction accumulation or redemption totals, and dynamic adjustments. Gold withdrawal remains unaffected.
CCB announced an adjustment to the minimum amount for its personal gold accumulation business regular accumulation. Starting from 9:10 AM Beijing Time on February 2, 2026, the minimum amount for regular accumulation (including average daily accumulation and self-selected day accumulation) will be increased to 1,500 yuan. Regular accumulation plans successfully set before the adjustment will continue to be executed without being affected. For regular accumulation plans with extensions, if the original accumulation amount meets CCB's latest requirements upon expiration, the extension will succeed; otherwise, it will fail. Modifying regular accumulation plans requires meeting CCB's latest accumulation amount requirements. CCB will continue to monitor changes in the gold market and make timely adjustments to the aforementioned minimum amount.
