Xiaomi Auto currently has no plans to enter the U.S. market.
On February 10, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, stated that Xiaomi Auto currently has no plans to enter the U.S. market. Lei Jun said: 'Recently, a YU7 was seen driving on a highway in California with a local test license plate. Many people have asked me if Xiaomi is preparing to enter the U.S. market. My response is: we currently have no plans to enter the U.S. market. I assume this YU7 might have been purchased by American counterparts or suppliers as a benchmark vehicle.'
In 2025, Xiaomi Auto delivered over 410,000 vehicles for the entire year. Previously, Lei Jun announced a delivery target of 550,000 units for 2026. In January this year, Xiaomi Auto's deliveries exceeded 39,000 units. Lei Jun had previously responded to the January delivery data of Xiaomi Auto, stating that the SU7 is about to be updated, and the main deliveries at present are for the YU7.
